La Mancha Winery of J. García Carrión (D.O La Mancha)
La Mancha is the largest vineyard in the world, occupying 50% of Spain's Vineyard.
In this privileged area of great wine tradition is the Bodega Garcia Carrion La Mancha located in Daimiel (Ciudad Real). It has 50 hectares of experimental vineyards to Research and Development with different grape varieties, both for young wines as Crianzas and Reservas.
The winery has an annual processing capacity of 100 million litres and an aged area of 10,000 barrels. The production is 250 million litres per year and it can store more than 160 million litres. García Carrión also has a capacity of more than 100 million litres of grape juice).
The winery works with Cencibel grape variety and with the varietals Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, for their young wines and Crianza wines. In 2006 took place a very ambitious and innovative project in Spain, with the elaboration of sparkling wines by the Charmat method and low-alcohol wines.
With this installations, our winery in Daimiel becomes a global winery, since we have facilities to produce all the wines that the world market can require.
These facilities obey all international standards of quality assurance: ISO, BRC and IFS.
