Solar De La Vega Verdejo

Tasting notes

Solar de la Vega Verdejo is pale yellow color, very bright and with gold highlights. On the nose is a harmonious combination of fruity notes (apple) medium intensity, on a background of aniseed aromas (freshly cat hay and fennel).

On the mouth is balanced and fresh, showing in its way a good intensity. The palate is long and greasy, nearly velvety, with a big contrast and at the end a light astringency.

Fermenting process

Grapes of the Verdejo variety are selected in their arrival in the winery. It’s removed carefully the leaves and the bad bunches. The grape juice is obtained with the help of a soft pressing, that favoring to the extraction of the aromatic components presents in the solid part of the fruit. The fermentation, under the strict control of the temperature, starts after clarify and clean the juice.

Servicing recommendations

It recommends serving this wine Rueda D.O. cold, between 4-6º C.

Solar de la Vega is ideal to be served with light dishes (rice, fish and seafood).
